Big Toy

I just got a QSK78 block in from Salt Lake City, Utah. The block cracked after 10,000 hours of service, and I will be getting a chance to test my salvage procedures and tooling on the block. That is, as soon as they can figure out how to get it off the truck; it crushed the skid. the block alone, without pistons, rod, crank, or any other mechanicals, weighs 5,200 lbs.

Goddammit. Your blog software just ate my comment.

I had some smartass note about rebuilding this and sticking it in a CRX.

And then I asked about the crank lobe arrangement. What can you tell me about the angle of the crank lobes on this bad boy?

I remember the last only slightly used "big toy" you recived - if this one is anything like that last one I dont want to hear anything about no crack lubes.

At least this new one apears to be wrapped.
