More Sightseeing

This weekend was full of more sight seeing. I went back to Barnard Castle to walk through the Bowes Museum, as well as heading down to Richmond to see the castle there on Saturday. The weather was bad, so it was mostly indoors stuff.

Sunday I drove back to York. This time, I went into York Minster, the castle museum, and The York dungeon. The actual dungeon in the castle is much more impressive than the York Dungeon. I didn't realize it, but its more like a haunted house than history. It was fun, just not historic (well, they talked about real history and torture methods from the middle ages, but a lot of fake walls, mannequins, etc). It was great weather and a great day to cruise the British countryside with the sun roof open. Oh, and I even bothered to try on a helmet while I was out. I served the Her Majesty's Royal New Mexico State Guard proud. Less dorky pics can be found here.
