News to Me

I was browsing through autotrader looking for car brands that I didn't recognize. Most offered a cars similar to Smart, and few others were British Leyland brands that died in the 70s. But I did find these two interesting.

This is a Robin Hood. I kid you not, they named the car company Robin Hood. Its just a Lotus 7 knock off kit car, and there are plenty of people who make them, but honestly? Robin Hood?

This is a Marcos Maxis. It is powered by the same all 320hp aluminum 4.6L 4v engine that was in the previous generation's Mustang Cobra. As far as I can tell, it has a DB9 headlights, and a body matched snow plow for a chin spoiler. I am not sure about the rest of it, but from what I can recognize it seems to be made from a bunch of reliable parts. I don't think that is the case though, because this is a 2008 and its going for £15k. Their new car, which is powered by some form of GM LS engine, has a starting price of £66k after tax, and has an optional fire extinguisher.
