Suds Drive-In

Suds is an old drive-in diner north of here in Greenwood, just south of Indianapolis. Its not currently open, but it, and the area around it, still play host to a car gathering every Saturday night, weather permitting. I had not been going up there because I need paint, but decided to take it up there anyway. It was a pretty good time, just walking around taking a look at the other cars. The local Mustang Club of America was there showing their stuff off. Usually the only pre-73 cars that they have are bone stock, but they had one member with a 70 Mach 1 that has a few upgrades. I took some pics of the cars. The cars I was most impressed with were the pro-street cars. They are essentially very clean drag cars that are still streetable thanks to comparatively high (numerically low) gear ratios and a decent camshaft. This is essentially the direction I want to go with my car, except I don't plan on tubbing the rearend to get 15" wide slicks in, and as mentioned before, I would like to run it a couple of times at an autocross.
