Busted Wheel

I have been having trouble with my right-front tire on my truck. It has had a slow leak for some time, and every morning before I go to work I put air in it, which gets me through the day. About two weeks ago I took it down to Seymour, where the nearest Big-O is, and they said they could not find a leak, but replaced the valve stem, as it was looking rather deteriorated. Despite this, the leak continued. I took it back in today, only to be told that the rim was bad. They showed me where the leak was occuring; inside the rim, roughly where the 2 pieces are welded together. Bummer. So this afternoon I get to call around to the junk yards and either find a matching rim or a complete set. Funtastic.

There's not a problem that exists that either JB Weld or tequila/handguns won't fix.

Seriously though, with a cracked weld, you're better off with a new rim. I'd hate to see your Ford go Firestone on you.

Actually, I am still waiting for you to explain the "Jesus died for your Lucas electrics" comment you left. Now who sucks at responding to comments?
