Last night I was informed that I needed to drive to Preston at 7AM so that I could observe an
off site test. So, I got up early, got to work, picked up the corporate Ford
Mondeo, and headed off. 2.5 hours later I get there, wait in the lobby, and then am told that the test wont be ran that day. Further,
I'm told that
they've been on the phone with the people back in
Darlington telling them just that. So, I was pretty mad that they
didnt bother to call me and tell me that there was no sense in continuing my
journey, as I left my phone number for just that reason.
However, while there I was able to take a look at the test set up, and it
didn't take long to figure out why the test was having problems in the first place, and had someone given me the video they gave me while I was there,
I
could've taken care of everything from
Darlington.
So, for two
separate events of poor communication, the trip was moot. I've shared my findings with those further up the ladder, and am hoping they
don't send me back again tomorrow.
