Moonlighting

I just applied for what is probably the most obscure side-job ever, and I really hope I get it. No, not shaving numbers in this guy. NASCAR commentator in Britain.

Now, bear with me on this one. Yes, they do get NASCAR here. However it's a US feed with the US commentators doing all the work, so really what you see and hear is what we see and hear in the UK. However, the US goes to commercial breaks far more often than the UK does. So, when that happens, it either cuts to a shot from the blimp with the UK guys doing voice over, or a shot to the studio with the UK guys.

Today's race was called by Kieth Huewen, John Mickel, and Robert Kauffman. During the race, they asked for people to email in if they were interested in coming on the show as a guest for commentating. So, I threw my hat in the ring.

Who knows, maybe in a few weeks I will be telling Brits about getting loose and pulling rubber out of the rear. . . Seriously.

You, sir, have found the most unbelievable job ever. It's like something you'd find in a Douglas Adams novel.

I think the most unbelievable job is that on some news and tv programs they have a person in the corner of the screen doing sign language. Apparently, captions are unacceptable.
