Darlington-- Day 1
Last night I went out on the town. It was a ton of fun. The people were great, and worlds friendlier than people in Indiana. I did have to go buy some clothes since my stuff wasn't to arrive until today, but I was able to keep the bill low by shopping around some.
I have been trying to establish myself here, which is tough. Lots of runaround. I can't get a cell phone because I don't have a bank statement. I cant get a bank statement printed, it has to be mailed to my house. I cant get the house until Tuesday because of the holiday. I may not be able to get my National Insurance Number interview because I do not have a phone, but they are going to try to reach me at the hotel. So, a lot of the things I am trying to do before I start work will have to be done after I start work. Such is life.
I did feel a little like home though, yesterday I saw a 4 door F-150 in front of a restaurant and a Corvette Z06 in front of my hotel. It was gone before I could snap a picture.

You've embarked on something undeniably cool and reasonably unique. Don't squander it!
