Earning My Degree

Today I finally had all the tools available to degree my camshaft. I have had issues such as no dial indicator stand, a dial indicator stand that doesn't fit my dial indicator, a dial indicator that didn't have enough lift on it, etc. It all came together and I was able to set the camshaft angle. It was worth the frustration, because it was off by about 7 degrees in the "nominal" position at .050" lift. Once that was done, I installed all of the lifters, lifter retainers and all that fun stuff.
The next thing to go in is the cylinder head alignment dowels, and then I can put the heads on. Once the heads are in place, I can order the proper length pushrods and the long block will essentially be done. As far as the engine goes, the only thing I haven't purchased yet is the Holley fuel injection system. Its getting really really close.

Clearly 'shopped. I can tell from some of the pixels and from seeing quite a few shops in my time.

You mean photoshopped? No, its just a normal blurry picture. I dont even have a copy of photoshop, my photo editing is done via MS Paint.

Wow, MS Paint. I haven't heard of something that high-powered since junior design when my group leader thought MS Paint was good enough for 3-D Modeling.
