Boxster FTW

This weekend I took the Boxster out to a SCCA driving school and an autocross. I learned a great deal from the school, and got more seat time than I would have ever expected. At the school, I was able to get 12 runs in, and an additional 6 runs in the following day at the autocross. I am still learning how to make the car handle, but I let one of the instructors drive, who is VERY experienced and a VERY VERY good driver, and he did amazing things with the car, besting my times by three seconds. He probably would have done even better 1) if he had more time in the car and 2) if he could put his hands between his legs and the streering wheel (not a lot of room for a guy his size). He absolutely loved driving the car and has been raving about it to everyone at work since then.
During the autox my times were fairly competitive compared to the rest of the field, but nothing amazing considering I was in A-Stock. I won the class (I was the only one in A-Stock) but I did manange to best a Lotus Elise and a Z4 M-Coupe in Super-Stock, with drivers who had just as much experience behind the wheel of thier cars as I did. I am looking forward to a few more autox'es and getting my times where they should be. Either way, the car is a blast to drive and I couldnt be happier with it.
